Yes, and normally we wouldn't have him shaved at all - he's a Havanese, and they tend to be very moppy, but they also don't shed, and their hair can get really matted. He had some tummy troubles a few weeks back, and we kept having to bathe him (things were getting stuck in his hair, and he was miserable). The constant bathing was causing more matting issues, so we didn't have much choice. Still, he was really proud of his new do - when I got the camera out for photo number 2, he sat on the stairs and looked up at me waiting for me to snap the picture.
Oh, how sweet. Mine needs a haircut cause he's pretty furry right now too. I love the expressions on their faces after a cut-it's something you don't see so well when the hair is long.

How sweet! :) I have mine shaved naked too. At least yours has a little on top. Mine has nothing. He looks soooooo sad.
