My sister will want to hear about this! (She has been waiting for it.)

I've been waiting, too. And waiting...and waiting... I have a feeling I've built it up in my mind so much that it' s bound to be a disappointment.

That looks sooo cool. And I love Paul Bettany... I think this just jumped to the top of my TBR pile (well, after the library books that HAVE to go back...)

Lana,

I love Paul Bettany, too, and his casting is perfect (when you read the book, picture him in the role of Dustfinger). I think he's going to be brilliant.

well, it certainly looks promising. and now I have to make sure I read the book before the movie comes out--I've had it on my shelf long enough that I'm almost ashamed not to have gotten to it yet.

okay i'm completely excited to watch this movie since i read the book 2 years ago and still love it.

but:
1. the person who plays maggie sounds too old
2. they didn't go into the book until Inkspell.
3. why is inkheart separated?!
4. WHY IS GWIN A FERRET?!?!?

Having not seen the film, I can only guess at the answers, but I think:

1. I agree, the girl who plays Meggie is not who I'd have picked - we'll see I guess how that works out for them.
2. I thought the same thing at first, but I think that what we're seeing in the trailer is actually the village that Capricorn had taken over in the first book (I don't think they've actually gone into the book). I don't see why they would combine the books - it negates the need for sequels.
3. You got me there - although, on IMDB it's shown as just one word.
4. Perhaps they couldn't find any trained, or trainable, martens?
